The problem
A food brand needed a promotional website for the pre-launch phase. The plan was a website with interactive animations built with the sprite technique: image frames shown in sequence to create movement.
What was agreed
- Prioritized scope
- The brand's promotional pre-launch website, in two parts: the website itself, built with HTML and JavaScript, and the interactive animations it shows, made with the sprite technique.
What was delivered
A promotional website for the brand's pre-launch, with interactive animations that respond to the visitor.
Who it’s for
The website was made for a food brand, during the pre-launch phase, and for anyone who visited the page in that period.
How it works
With the sprite technique, the code shows the image frames of a movement one at a time, in sequence; the quick switch between them creates the illusion of animation.
The technology, in plain words
- HTML: the language that organizes the content of a web page, such as text, images and buttons; it is the base of the website.
- JavaScript: the programming language of the web, which gives pages behavior in the browser and also runs on servers; it was used with HTML to build the website and its interactive animations.
How it went

Discovery Sprint
Before building
The problem was understood and the scope defined.
Development
In 2016
Built in incremental releases throughout the project, not all at the end.
Support and continuous improvement
After going live
The website then moved into support and maintenance.
