How we work

Fixed-price software development, scoped before we build

A free assessment, a free Discovery Sprint when needed and fixed-price development. Nothing is charged before development, and you decide whether to go ahead.

No obligation · 45 minutes · written feedback

What you and Lemamon.dev agree on

  1. Scope, timeline and price fixed before development

They come in writing, so you approve development knowing what you'll get, when and for how much.

  2. Working software every 2 weeks

You track the project by what's already running, not by status reports.

  3. Two points where you decide whether to move forward

First after the written feedback from the assessment, then after the plan with the timeline and price, before you pay anything.

  4. Your company owns the code, by contract

What we build for your project is yours. If you ever want to switch vendors, the code goes with you.

Why we agree before we build

A price given before anyone understands the problem is a guess: either it comes in high, to cover the vendor's risk, or it comes in low and creeps up mid-project. Billing by the hour (time and materials) avoids the guess, but leaves you with an open-ended budget.

That's why the timeline and price are only fixed in writing once the problem is understood and the scope is prioritized. When the assessment shows this work calls for a Discovery Sprint, the Sprint is free.

First we agree. Then we build.

You get: written feedback on your situation

  2. Discovery Sprint

    Free · when needed

You get: a problem definition, a prioritized scope and a plan with a fixed timeline and price for development

  3. Development

    Working software every 2 weeks

You get: software you can use, not a slide deck

  4. Support and continuous improvement

    Ongoing

You get: maintenance and ongoing improvements once the system is live

Prioritized scope: the list of what the software will do, in order, showing what comes first and what waits until later.

Free · 45 minutes

Free assessment

Who it's for
Anyone with an operational problem, a product idea, a process their current system can no longer keep up with or a scope already drafted, who wants to know the next step.
How it works
A 45-minute conversation about the problem, who it affects today, what's already been tried and what needs to change. You don't need to arrive with a finished scope.

You get: written feedback on your situation

To get the most out of the 45 minutes

  • If you can, bring whoever makes decisions about the project and whoever knows your current systems.
  • Gather what you have today: spreadsheets, screenshots, messages, sketches of the idea, or the scope if you already have one.
  • List the systems and tools you already use.
Next
If it makes sense to move forward and the assessment shows you need a Discovery Sprint, that comes next, free, with its length agreed with you. If you don't, we go straight to the development proposal.

Free · when needed

Discovery Sprint

This is where your problem becomes a plan. We prioritize the scope with you, and the development timeline and price are fixed in writing.

You get: a problem definition, a prioritized scope and a plan with a fixed timeline and price for development

  • Problem definition

The problem the software needs to solve, and why, written down before anyone decides what to build.

  • Prioritized scope

What comes first and what can wait, so you know what you're buying before you buy it.

  • Plan with a fixed timeline and price

The timeline and price for the development phase, already fixed, so you can decide whether to move forward.

Cost
Free. It only happens when the assessment shows it's needed, and its length is set with you.
Next
Once you have the plan, with the timeline and price already fixed, you decide whether to move into development.

Working software every 2 weeks

Development

Every 2 weeks, you get a working piece of the system to use. Your feedback shapes the adjustments in the next cycle, within the agreed scope.

You get: software you can use, not a slide deck

  1. We build
  2. You get a working release
  3. You use it and share feedback
  4. The next cycle starts
Why it matters
You see progress in the software itself and catch anything that needs adjusting early, instead of finding out at the end.

Ongoing

Support and continuous improvement

We look after the live system and improve it as your operations change, with the format and price agreed with you before work starts.

You get: maintenance and ongoing improvements once the system is live

Already have a live system? The conversation starts with the same free assessment, and nothing is agreed until we understand what's running.

You decide once you have the facts

You don't pay anything until you approve development. And when you do, you already know what it will cost.

  1. With the written feedback in hand, you decide whether to go ahead. The Discovery Sprint, when it's needed, is free.

  2. With the timeline and price fixed in the plan, you decide whether to move into development.

  • Manufacturing · Manufacturer

Manufactured items counted in real time, with line metrics on a dashboard

    1. Assessment

      At the start

An initial conversation to understand the client's request and problem.

      Before building

The problem was understood and the scope defined.

    3. Development

      Between 2017 and 2019

Built in incremental releases throughout the project, not all at the end.

    4. Support and continuous improvement

      After going live

The system then moved into support and maintenance.

Questions about the process

Do I pay anything before development?

No. The assessment and, when it's needed, the Discovery Sprint are free. The paid stages are development, with the scope, timeline and price fixed before it starts, and ongoing support, if you want it.

How long does it take to develop custom software or an app?

The timeline is fixed before development starts, along with the price, and it depends on the scope. Have a date in mind, such as a launch or a pilot? Mention it in the assessment, and the plan will show what can be delivered by then.

How do I know the project won't stall halfway through?

Projects usually stall when the budget runs out before the software is ready, or when nobody sees anything working until the end. Here, scope, timeline and price are fixed before development starts, and every 2 weeks you get a working piece: if something goes off track, you notice early, not just at the end. And the code built for the project belongs to your company, by contract: if you ever need to move to another vendor, it stays with you.

Does the free assessment come with any obligation?

No. It's a 45-minute conversation and written feedback. After that, you decide whether you want to move forward.

What if I need to change the scope mid-project?

You get working software every 2 weeks so you can spot early on what needs to change. If a change affects the scope, we agree on a revised scope, timeline and price with you before we continue.

Does my company own the code?

Yes. The code built for your project belongs to your company, and that's written into the contract. If you ever want to continue with another vendor, the code is in your hands.

How long does the Discovery Sprint take?

It depends on the size of the problem. When Discovery is needed, how long it takes is worked out with you in the free assessment.

Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA)?

Yes. If your project calls for confidentiality, we'll sign the agreement before you share the details. Just ask on WhatsApp or by email at comercial@lemamon.dev.

Do you work with companies outside Brazil?

Yes. Lemamon.dev is a custom software development company based in São Paulo, Brazil, and works remotely with companies in other Brazilian cities and in other countries, in English, Portuguese or Spanish, using the same process: assessment, a Discovery Sprint when needed and working software every 2 weeks. For companies outside Brazil, currency, contract and payment terms are agreed in writing before we start.

The first step is free and takes 45 minutes

You walk us through the problem and get written feedback. If the software has to be ready by a specific date, mention it when we talk, and the plan with the timeline and price will show what can be delivered by then.
